Hi guys.
We moved to Florida a couple of years ago and I began to hike through the state parks here.
I have some occasional knee and back trouble, and I realized I could use an assist climbing small hills and grades as well as just taking some of the pressure off of my joints; I also needed something to prop on to keep from going down as my right knee sometimes gives out.
I ordered your Volkstaf and I took it out to try it out on the same day I received it. I unfolded it and put it to the test: seeing if it would support my nearly 300 pounds while I leaned on it heavily as I climbed a steep hill.
I expected it to collapse and bend into a useless piece of metal junk resembling an abstract sculpture, after which I'd return it to you and tell you what a useless piece of junk it was.
Not only did it not collapse, it didn't even bend!!! I was able to lean on it heavily and complete a climb up a steep little hill that I would not otherwise have been able to do unless I got down on my hands and knees and crawled!
I have not been without it since!!! It goes everywhere with me in my motorcycle's saddlebag, and it has become my friend in the outdoors. I would not be without it!
It has other nice uses besides hiking: convincing recalcitrant snakes to move away from my path; as a temporary support for gear; for fishing stuff out of water; and more!
Thanks for such a GREAT quality product! I will never be without it, and I will probably order a couple more soon, one as a spare for me, and one as a gift.
See you in the outdoors.
John Russell
